Paxmead Riverside Base is Girlguiding Surrey West’s boating centre situated on a delightful stretch of the River Thames in Shepperton, Middlesex within easy reach of both Windsor and London.

What we love about Paxmead ....The size of the building is perfect.

What we love about Paxmead ....Being by the river and the openness of the site, safety of the children

What we love about Paxmead ....Good facilities on the river and safe for Brownies to play outside in a wide area which can be supervised

The base is well equipped for boating activities including canoeing, kayaking and rowing and can be used by members of The Guide Association, the Scout Association and other youth organisations – but not the general public. The base is also open all year and boating is possible up to Christmas, weather permitting!
